I am Samuel González Gallastegui, artist and art researcher in the field of
Game Studies, a PhD candidate in Art at the University of the Basque
Country, where I had studied Fine Arts with great pleasure, and a High
School art teacher in Navarra (Spain).
Since my formative period I have been very interested in video art and art
installations, an interest that turned into a concern about the strong link
that exists between culture, new technologies and art. Consequently, I am
focusing my PhD in the study of 'Videogame's Spaces as Art's space'.
I would like to be accepted in the Yasmin's list and to take part in these
highly enriching Yasmin's debates. I hope to contribute from the viewpoint
of an artist that lives and works in a Mediterranean country and is deeply
interest in the relationship between art, culture, science and technology.
This list is a good chance dialog with other people interested in similar
fields.
