[Yasmin_discussions] The Arts in the Context of Darwinian Theory of Evolution Today

>From Jim Crutchfield

Check out the Dunn Lab:
http://www.brown.edu/Faculty/Dunn_Lab/
The Dunn Lab investigates how evolution has produced a diversity of
life. We primarily focus on form (i.e. morphology, rather than
function), and are interested in learning about both the actual
history of life on Earth and general properties of evolution that have
contributed to these historical patterns. The type of questions the
Dunn Lab asks require field (marine), laboratory, and computational
work.

might enjoy a few minutes with iridescent squid:

Or, more generally, with the site itself:

which today mentions Haeckel's "Kunstformen der Natur" and the Belgian
artist Marnix Everaert
and a number of other artists projects
