Re: [Yasmin_discussions] Boundaries

Thank you for bringing this to the front. For me it is a key issue. I wrote:

- input protocols: lacking at the moment: granularity of experience

We have to work on applications towards capturing more granularity of
experience. If the IOT wants to be like the real world, then it has to try
to have the same kind of all out sensorial input. Currently we see as input
a lot of 'validated content', content that is validated prior to its
inclusion in the datasets that build the IOT.

Where is that sand in my shoes? Where is the gum on the pavement? My daily
negociations? Research into and quick and dirty applications of soft
biometrics and innovative ways of gaining biofeedback in intuitive and non
invasive ways is of paramount importance. Taking into account as much of
the granularity of experience as input into our systems, may lead to not
only an acceptance of ambient intelligence, but an embracing of it by people
who realize that this could actually help them gain more agency – individual
and collective - through getting realtime feedback on real actions and real
needs.

That is my positive side arguing as I realize that we can not stop the ship
itself ( Ted Kazcynski - who saw this all very early - is in jail and we can
not add more violence to the violence), but can only help build it (arguable
i agree).

I was really shocked to read all these FP7 security projects:

ftp://ftp.cordis.europa.eu/.../*fp7*/*security*/.../*towards-a-more*-*secure
*_en.pdf

mostly when I started to notice that the input they use for their
'visualizing and datmining services' is already 'validated' input, meaning
devoid of serendipity, life, chance....thus they can only build a Matrix,

salut! Rob

ps check if you want the Situated Technologies site next week. Christian
and me have written a pamphlet in the series and it should be out then,
