Re: [Yasmin_discussions] McLUHAN EFFECTS

Very interested to read excerpt from Mel's book. Thanks!

I was going to draw attention of Yasmin readers to a series of events etc at Watershed Media Centre in Bristol this month curated by Simon Poulter on the subject of HMM.

Simon asked me to write a short text on the subject which will be published soon at:
http://www.watershed.co.uk/mcluhan/writing/

where there'll also be some online record of the symposium held on 6th.

Here's a short extract from my essay:
with McLuhan in 2011 it appears he is everybody’s obsession: he has been dismembered, remembered, exhumed, elevated, exhibited, interpreted, celebrated, consecrated, communed with, argued over, imitated and exposed. Here finally in this essay I propose he will be eaten.
